KrewQuest
Terms of Service
Last Updated: August 26, 2026
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of KrewQuest and its website, features, and services (collectively, the “Service”). By creating an account, completing onboarding, making a purchase, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms, including the Privacy Policy set forth in Part II below. Please read them carefully.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. KrewQuest is strictly for adults. By creating an account you represent and warrant that you are at least 18. We reserve the right to verify your age at any time (including through identity verification) and to suspend or terminate any account that does not meet this requirement. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
2. Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining accurate account information, including your name, email, and profile details. You may create only one account per person. You are responsible for all activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately through krewquest.com/contact.
We may suspend or terminate any account that uses false information, impersonates another person, or violates these Terms.
3. Identity Verification
The Service may require identity verification through a third-party provider (currently Stripe Identity) as a condition of using certain features or continuing to use the Service. Verification may require a government-issued photo ID and a live selfie for comparison. This data is processed by our third-party provider under its own privacy policy and is used solely to confirm identity and prevent fraud, impersonation, and underage use. We do not store copies of your identity documents on our servers. Failure to complete verification when requested may result in restricted access or account suspension.
4. Subscriptions and Payments
Pricing. The regular subscription is $20.00 USD per month. We may offer promotional, Founding Member, or other discounts from time to time; any such pricing is subject to the terms disclosed at the time of purchase, including the terms of the Founding Premium presale.
Billing. Subscriptions are billed through Stripe, our third-party payment processor. By providing payment information and consenting at checkout, you authorize recurring charges to your payment method on the selected cadence until you cancel.
Auto-Renewal. Your subscription renews automatically each billing period unless you cancel before the next charge date.
No Refunds. All subscription and prepayment amounts are non-refundable, except to the extent required by applicable law. When you cancel, you retain access through the end of your current paid period, but no partial or full refund is issued.
Price Changes. We may change our pricing at any time. Changes take effect at the start of the next billing cycle following notice.
5. Community Rules
KrewQuest exists so people can meet, grow, and keep real friendships moving. The rules below keep the community safe. By using the Service you agree not to:
- ✦Use a fake identity, create fake profiles, or engage in catfishing.
- ✦Harass, bully, threaten, or intimidate any user, in-app or in DMs.
- ✦Post or send hateful, discriminatory, sexually explicit, or violent content.
- ✦Use the Service for dating, hookups, solicitation, spam, or commercial activity.
- ✦Attempt to circumvent any paywall, manipulate matching, or exploit bugs.
- ✦Stalk, surveil, or collect personal information about other users.
- ✦Use the Service for any unlawful activity, or infringe the rights of others.
Every profile has report and block controls. Reports go to a human. We may remove content, issue warnings, or suspend or permanently ban accounts that violate these rules, at our sole discretion and without notice.
6. Safety, Moderation, and User Interactions
KrewQuest uses automated moderation tools to help maintain a safe environment. We cannot guarantee that all interactions will be safe or appropriate, and you agree that no algorithm, verification step, or human review can eliminate all risk.
Matches and connections. KrewQuest uses AI-powered algorithms to suggest potential matches and plans based on information you voluntarily provide. These are suggestions only. We do not perform background checks on users beyond optional identity verification, and we do not guarantee the compatibility, character, intentions, or conduct of any user.
User-generated content. Profiles, messages, quest activity, and other content are created by users and are not reviewed in advance by KrewQuest.
7. Events and Third-Party Venues
KrewQuest may surface events, activities, and venues from third-party sources, including ticketing platforms, public calendars, government recreation data, and web listings. KrewQuest does not host, operate, sponsor, vet, or control any such event, activity, or venue, and is not a party to any transaction, reservation, or admission agreement with them.
Event details — including dates, times, prices, locations, and availability — are provided by third parties and may be inaccurate, outdated, or change without notice. You are responsible for independently verifying any event or venue before relying on it, attending, or purchasing anything. Any transaction you enter into with an event provider is solely between you and that provider, and is governed by that provider's own terms and liability rules.
8. Assumption of Risk — Meeting Up
KrewQuest helps people and plans connect. Meeting another person you met through the Service, whether in person or through any third-party event or venue, is entirely your own decision and is done at your own risk and sole responsibility.
You agree that you are 100% responsible for your own safety and for every decision related to meeting up, including: choosing whether to attend at all; selecting safe, public locations; independently researching any event, venue, or area beforehand; confirming dates, times, prices, and logistics; arranging your own transportation; and informing a trusted person of your plans.
KrewQuest does not investigate, vet, supervise, or guarantee any event, venue, or user, and is not responsible for the actions or conduct of any third party you encounter through the Service. By using the Service you voluntarily assume all risks associated with your interactions with other users and any events or venues you choose to attend, including risks of personal injury, property damage, emotional distress, or financial loss. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree not to hold KrewQuest liable for any claim arising from such interactions.
9. Location Data
The Service collects and uses location data to match you with people and plans in your area. Location may be collected through browser geolocation (with your permission) or the address you provide, processed via the Google Places API. Your precise address is never shared with other users; an approximate location (such as your city) may be part of your profile. Additional detail is provided in Part II (Privacy Policy) below.
10. Artificial Intelligence
KrewQuest uses artificial intelligence (“Krew AI”) to provide core features, including:
- ✦Planning hangouts, meetups, and event plans around what you’re into.
- ✦Searching real events, activities, and venues and proposing plans.
- ✦Remembering your preferences and past plans to personalize future suggestions.
- ✦Reaching out to you first with ideas and following up after a hangout.
Krew AI may take actions on your behalf, such as searching for events or proposing plans. Its suggestions and output are informational only and may be incorrect, outdated, or incomplete. You are responsible for verifying any details before relying on them, and for deciding whether to act on them. KrewQuest does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI output, and is not responsible for any decision you make based on it.
Krew AI is not a licensed therapist, counselor, medical professional, financial advisor, or crisis resource. Do not rely on it as a substitute for professional advice. If you are in crisis, contact emergency services or a qualified provider rather than Krew AI.
We process AI conversations through third-party AI services under their own terms and privacy policies. The categories of data collected through Krew AI, and how they are used, are described in Part II, Section 3 below.
11. User Content
“User Content” means any text, images, profile information, messages, photos, or other material you submit through the Service. You retain ownership of your User Content. By submitting it, you grant KrewQuest a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute it solely for operating and improving the Service. You represent that you have all necessary rights to your content and that it does not violate any third party's rights. We may remove content at any time.
12. Intellectual Property
The KrewQuest name, logo, and all original content, features, and functionality of the Service are owned by KrewQuest and protected by applicable law. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our prior written consent.
13. Account Termination and Deletion
By you. You may delete your account at any time in settings. Your content and personal data are removed from active systems, subject to any legal retention or backup requirements.
By us. We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without cause or notice, including for violations of these Terms. If we terminate your account, you are not entitled to a refund of any subscription fees except as required by law.
14. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We disclaim all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, that any match or plan will result in a meaningful friendship, or that AI output will be accurate or appropriate.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, KrewQuest and its owner and members shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of profits, personal injury, or emotional distress, arising from: your use of or inability to use the Service; your interactions with other users, whether online or in person; any event or venue you attend through the Service; your reliance on AI output, match suggestions, or event recommendations; or unauthorized access to or alteration of your data.
Our total liability for all claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
16. Dispute Resolution; Arbitration
Governing rules. All disputes, controversies, and claims arising out of or relating to these Terms, the Service, your account, any purchase, any interaction with any user, any event or venue you attend, any AI output, or any other matter involving KrewQuest — whether known or unknown, past, present, or future — shall be resolved exclusively through binding individual arbitration administered in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Who is bound. This agreement to arbitrate binds you and KrewQuest and its owner and members, and each of their respective officers, directors, employees, agents, contractors, subsidiaries, successors, and assigns (“KrewQuest Parties”). It covers claims against any KrewQuest Party, whether brought in your own name or on behalf of another.
Waiver of jury trial and class action. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you and each KrewQuest Party waive the right to a jury trial and the right to participate in any class, collective, or representative action. All arbitration shall proceed on an individual basis only.
Claim time limit. Any claim or cause of action arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service must be commenced within twelve (12) months after the claim accrues, or it is forever barred.
Location. Arbitration shall take place in Sacramento County, California. The arbitrator's decision is final and binding and may be entered as a judgment in any court of competent jurisdiction.
Small claims exception. Nothing in this section prevents you from bringing a claim in small claims court, so long as it qualifies for small claims jurisdiction.
Injunctive relief. Using KrewQuest or KrewQuest's proprietary technology, algorithms, designs, or content in violation of these Terms may cause irreparable harm. Either party may seek injunctive or equitable relief in court to prevent the actual or threatened infringement of intellectual property rights. Where allowed by law, the infringing party is liable for the other party's costs and attorneys' fees in enforcing its rights.
Severability. If any part of this dispute-resolution section is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.
Statutory carve-out. To the limited extent a claim is not arbitrable under applicable law — including claims of sexual assault or sexual harassment, which federal law permits to proceed in court — this section does not apply to that claim, and you may bring it in the courts described in the Governing Law section below.
17. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the KrewQuest Parties from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, your interactions with other users, your attendance at any event or venue, or your violation of any rights of another person.
18. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. To the extent litigation is permitted under these Terms (including small claims and the statutory carve-out above), proceedings shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Sacramento County, California, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.
Changes. We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on the Service with an updated date; where we prompt you to re-accept, continued use after acceptance constitutes agreement to the revised Terms.
Part II
Privacy Policy
Last Updated: August 26, 2026
This Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) describes how KrewQuest (the “Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, retains, and safeguards personal information relating to users of the Service. Capitalized terms not defined herein have the meanings set forth in Part I. By accessing or using the Service, you acknowledge the collection, use, and disclosure of your information as described in this Policy.
P1. Categories of Information Collected
P1.1 Information Provided by You
Account Information. Your email address and authentication credentials. During onboarding, you additionally provide your display name, date-of-birth-derived age, gender, interest selections, and city.
Profile Information. Your biography, photographs, and any other content or details you elect to include on your profile.
Location Information. Your city and approximate location, derived from browser geolocation (collected only with your explicit permission) or from address information you provide, processed via the Google Places API. Your precise address is not disclosed to other users; approximate location information (such as your city) may be displayed as part of your profile.
Payment Information. Payment card and billing details are collected and processed directly by our third-party payment processor, Stripe. We do not receive or store your full payment card number or card verification value on our servers; we receive only payment status confirmation and subscription metadata from Stripe.
Identity Verification Data. Where identity verification is required, you may submit a government-issued photo identification document and a live selfie through our third-party verification provider, Stripe Identity. Such materials are processed and retained by Stripe under its own privacy policy. We receive and store only limited verification state and the normalized verification result necessary to enforce matching safety; we do not store copies of the identification document or selfie on our servers.
Communications. Information you submit through contact forms or support channels, including your name, email address, subject line, and message content.
P1.2 Information Collected Automatically
Usage Data. Pages visited, features used, actions taken within the Service, timestamps, and session duration.
Device Information. Browser type, operating system, screen resolution, and device identifiers.
Cookies and Authentication Tokens. We use cookies and similar technologies to maintain your authenticated session and remember your preferences. Our authentication provider, Supabase, stores session tokens in your browser.
P2. Use of Information
We use the information we collect to:
- ✦operate, maintain, and improve the Service;
- ✦create, administer, and authenticate your account;
- ✦process subscriptions, prepayments, and payments through Stripe;
- ✦plan hangouts and match you with other users, events, activities, and venues based on your interests, preferences, and location;
- ✦enable Krew AI to initiate contact with you with plan suggestions, as further described in Section P3;
- ✦personalize future plans by retaining your prior plans, preferences, and feedback;
- ✦moderate content and enforce these Terms, including keyword filtering and safety rules;
- ✦respond to inquiries and support requests;
- ✦deliver notifications relating to your activity, plans, matches, and messages;
- ✦verify your identity where required;
- ✦analyze usage patterns to improve the Service; and
- ✦detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, and unlawful activity.
P3. Krew AI; Processing of Conversational Data
A core feature of the Service is Krew AI (an artificial intelligence agent, “Krew”), which plans hangouts, searches real events and venues, proposes plans, retains knowledge of your preferences across sessions, initiates contact with you, and follows up following hangouts. This Section describes the information processing specific to Krew.
P3.1 Conversational Data Collected
When you interact with Krew, we collect and process: the content of your messages and Krew's responses thereto; interests, preferences, and decisions you express regarding proposed plans; your city and preferred date windows; and your post-hangout feedback (including whether a prospective friendship was mutually enjoyable, which Krew retains privately).
P3.2 Purposes of Processing
Such conversational data is processed for the purposes of planning hangouts consistent with your expressed interests; retaining your preferences and prior plans across sessions to personalize subsequent suggestions; proposing plans and following up after hangouts; and improving the quality and accuracy of future plans. This processing is integral to the core functionality of the Service.
P3.3 Processing by Third-Party AI Providers
Conversational content is transmitted to, and processed by, our third-party artificial intelligence service providers (currently DeepSeek) solely for the purpose of generating responses, pursuant to such providers' own terms and privacy policies. Conversational history is also stored in our database for the purpose of maintaining Krew's memory of your preferences and prior plans.
P3.4 External Event-Search Providers
When Krew searches for real-world events, activities, and venues, the external providers powering such searches (including SerpApi/Google Events, Google Places, Recreation.gov/RIDB, ticketing platforms, public local calendars, and fallback web search providers) receive only a generalized activity category, a canonical city, a coarse date range and, where required for nearby-place results, a coarse area and bounded radius. Under no circumstances do we transmit your identity, account identifier, conversation content, raw messages, profile information, or conversational history to such event-search providers. An external provider may receive ordinary technical request data originating from our servers (such as an IP address and request time) pursuant to that provider's own terms and privacy practices.
P3.5 Training Restriction
Your conversations and conversational data are not used to train KrewQuest's or any third party's foundation models. We do not use your data to construct models for the benefit of other users or third parties.
P3.6 Proactive Communications
As an integral feature of the Service, Krew may initiate contact with you, including plan suggestions, reminders, and follow-ups delivered through in-app notifications. You may reduce or discontinue such proactive communications at any time through the settings available to you within the Service.
P3.7 Retention, Review, and Deletion of Conversational Data
You may review and remove Krew's retained memory of you through the diary feature made available within the Service. Upon deletion of your account, conversations and associated artificial intelligence history are deleted from active systems, subject to the retention practices described in Section P5.
P4. Disclosure of Information
We do not sell your personal information. We disclose personal information only in the following circumstances:
P4.1 To Other Users
Your display name, city, interests, and profile information are visible to other users of the Service. Messages you send are visible to their intended recipients. Your precise address is not disclosed to other users.
P4.2 To Service Providers
We engage the following categories of third-party service providers:
- Supabase, for database hosting, authentication, and backend infrastructure, pursuant to which your account, profile, message, and application data are stored on Supabase infrastructure;
- Stripe, for payment processing and identity verification;
- DeepSeek, as our artificial intelligence service provider, which receives conversational content for the limited purpose of generating responses;
- Google Places API, for geocoding, location, and venue data services;
- external event-search providers, including SerpApi/Google Events, Google Places, Recreation.gov/RIDB, ticketing platforms, public local calendars, and, where enabled, fallback web search providers, each of which receives only generalized search context as described in Section P3.4 and does not receive your identity or conversational content; and
- Stripe Identity, for identity verification where enabled; Resend, for email delivery; Vercel, for application hosting; and Cloudflare, for DNS, CDN, and network security, each acting as operational processors.
P4.3 Legal Disclosures
We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, legal process, or governmental request, or if we believe in good faith that such disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, property, or safety, or the rights, property, or safety of others.
P5. Data Retention
We retain personal information for so long as your account remains active or as otherwise necessary to provide the Service. Upon deletion of your account, your profile, conversations, and associated data are deleted from active systems; certain data may persist in encrypted backups for a period of up to thirty (30) days pending permanent purging. We may retain anonymized, aggregated data that cannot reasonably be used to identify you for analytical purposes, and we may retain certain information as required by law or as necessary to resolve disputes.
Public event and venue results are cached only until expiration, at which point expired cache records are deleted through an automated daily cleanup process. Content-free external-provider usage records (including provider name, request fingerprint, status, latency, and estimated cost) are retained for ninety (90) days for reliability, security, and cost-reporting purposes; such records do not contain your search text or provider response bodies. External providers maintain their own logs and retention periods, which may differ from ours.
P6. Data Security
We implement commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information, including encrypted transmission (HTTPS/TLS), row-level security policies restricting database access, secure authentication with encrypted credential storage, authentication-gated API routes, and content moderation and safety controls. Notwithstanding the foregoing, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
P7. Your Rights and Choices
Access and Rectification. You may review and update your profile information, location, and preferences at any time through the settings made available within the Service.
Portability. You may download a copy of your personal data in a machine-readable format at any time through your account settings.
Erasure. You may permanently delete your account and associated data through your account settings. This action is irreversible.
Krew AI Data. You may review and remove Krew's retained memory of you through the diary feature within the Service, and may control proactive communications through settings.
Notifications. You may manage notification preferences through your account settings.
P7.1 California Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident, you possess certain rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”), including the right to know the categories of personal information collected, the right to request deletion of your personal information, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information. The access, portability, and erasure tools described above may be exercised directly; for other requests, contact us at krewquest.com/contact.
P7.2 European Privacy Rights
The Service is operated from the United States. If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, your personal data is transferred to and processed in the United States, and you possess the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) and analogous laws: the rights of access and portability (exercisable by downloading a copy of your data); rectification (exercisable through your profile and account settings); erasure (exercisable by deleting your account); restriction of, and objection to, processing (including disabling activity-feed visibility in Settings, or contacting us); and the right to lodge a complaint with your competent data protection authority. We process personal data on the following legal bases: performance of our contract with you (operation of the Service, generation of missions and matches); our legitimate interests (safety, moderation, and improvement of the Service); and consent, where requested (such as browser geolocation), which you may withdraw at any time.
P8. Children's Privacy; Third-Party Links
Children. The Service is intended solely for individuals aged eighteen (18) years and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under the age of 18. If we become aware that personal information has been collected from an individual under 18, we will take prompt steps to delete such information. If you believe a minor has provided personal information through the Service, please contact us at krewquest.com/contact.
Third-Party Links. The Service may contain links to third-party websites, events, and venues that are not owned or controlled by us. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties. When you open the source link for an external event, activity, or venue, you interact directly with that third party, and the destination may receive information ordinarily transmitted by your browser (including your IP address, browser and device information, request time, cookies, and the page visited) pursuant to its own privacy policy.
P9. Changes to This Policy; Contact Us
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted to the Service together with an updated “Last Updated” date and, where applicable, presented for re-acceptance. Your continued use of the Service following the posting of changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
If you have questions regarding these Terms or this Policy, please contact us at krewquest.com/contact.
